What happens when we pause the headlines, put politics to one side, and focus on the human experience underneath?
In this unique and highly interactive learning event, we invite you to explore how people make meaning of complex experiences, how leaders can respond, and what it takes to create connection in a world that often feels increasingly divided. Drawing on themes such as migration, identity, conflict, belonging, disconnection and resilience, this session will challenge participants to look beyond positions and perspectives to the humanity that sits beneath them.
We will begin with a specially designed AI-generated short video depicting real human stories - providing a shared starting point for reflection and dialogue. From there, we'll dive into a key leadership framework with facilitator Paul Mayers - Integral Quadrants - to explore the stories through multiple lenses, considering how individuals, systems, cultures and behaviours shape our understanding of complex issues.
This practical and thought-provoking learning experience is designed to help you reflect on the role we can play as leaders in fostering empathy, inclusivity, and a sense of safety for individuals experiencing displacement or hardship without overthinking the politics
Whether you are a GLF alum, a supporter of the Leaders Institute, or simply curious about how values-based leaders engage with challenging issues, this event offers a rare opportunity to learn alongside an engaged community of reflective leaders – with plenty of time after to also decompress and connect with others over a drink and some food
