Set amongst 100 acres of beautiful gardens and heritage surrounds in the Adelaide foothills, this end-of-year GLF Connect event combines thought-provoking conversation with the opportunity to relax, reconnect and celebrate the year that's been alongside fellow alumni, supporters and friends.
In conversation with Kathryn House AM, fellow GLF alumna Heather Croall AM, Director of Carrick Hill, will share insights from her remarkable leadership journey across the arts, creative and cultural sectors. Together, they will explore why culture and history remain profoundly relevant to leadership today, and what it takes to balance legacy with innovation, community expectations with sustainability, and tradition with change.
Drawing on her experience leading major cultural organisations in Australia and internationally, Heather will reflect on leadership, stewardship and the responsibility of shaping places and institutions that connect people across generations.
Following the conversation, enjoy the opportunity to mingle with fellow leaders, strengthen existing connections and build new ones while taking in the unique atmosphere of Carrick Hill.

Meet your speaker
Heather Croall AM is one of Australia's most respected cultural leaders, known for her bold vision, innovative thinking and ability to build audiences, partnerships and organisational growth.
Appointed Director of Carrick Hill in 2026, Heather brings extensive experience leading some of the world's most recognised arts and cultural organisations. During her eleven years as Director and CEO of Adelaide Fringe, she helped grow ticket sales from 500,000 to more than one million, while expanding the festival's impact and international profile.
Throughout her career, Heather has led major cultural organisations across Australia and the United Kingdom, earning a reputation for creating transformative experiences, championing innovation and delivering meaningful community engagement. In 2024, she was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her significant contribution to the arts and cultural sector.
A 2017 GLF graduate, Heather continues to support leadership development through board and advisory roles across South Australia.
At this special GLF Connect event, Heather will share reflections on leadership, stewardship and the challenges and opportunities of leading cultural institutions in a rapidly changing world.
